About event
Come with us to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and remember Václav Havel's legacy.
During the whole day you will enjoy four inspiring films from different aspects of his life and work: Havel, Life According to Václav Havel, Leaving and Olga. These pictures will offer you a diverse view of Havel's personality and his irreplaceable role in the fight for freedom and democracy.
The whole evening will end with a discussion where we will discuss together the meaning of these values.
Marathon program:
14:30–16:15 Havel
16:45–18:15 Olga
18:45–20:15 Leaving
20:45–22:00 Life according to Václav Havel
22:00–23:00 Conversation "For a beer with Havel"
Informal discussion with director and screenwriter Andrea Sedláčková (Life according to Václav Havel Havel) and producer Jaroslav Bouček (Departing) dedicated to the background of the creation of both films, their memories of the personality of Václav Havel and individual reflection on November 17 of 1989.
