About event
Amnesty International was based on the idea that writing a letter to an innocent, unfairly imprisoned person can mean a lot - and change his life. Since our establishment more than 60 years ago, we have confirmed this premise countless times. It was thanks to millions of solidarity letters that we managed to positively change the lives of tens of thousands of people. Since 2001, it has been a huge source of hope and assistance for oppressed, bullyed and unfairly imprisoned people around the world and the letter of writing letters.
Come and participate with us in this event, which will take place on Sunday 26 January 2025 from 13.00 to 19.00. You can come at any time at this time, for a while for longer. In exchange for writing a letter, we will give you a free entry to the Harvesting Exhibition of Svätopluk Mikyta. You can be inspired by one of his 365 diary drawings.
At the event you will learn about this year's cases and you will be able to write a solidarity letter, sign a letter to the authorities or the appropriate authorities, draw a picture or make a collage to support people whose rights are violated and who are waiting for justice. Amnesty International sends these letters. At 6 pm you will be able to join the human rights quiz and win interesting prizes.
