About event
Amnesty International was based on the idea that writing a letter to an innocent, unfairly imprisoned person can mean a lot - and change his life. Since our establishment more than 60 years ago, we have confirmed this premise countless times. It was thanks to millions of solidarity letters that we managed to positively change the lives of tens of thousands of people. Since 2001, it has been a huge source of hope and assistance for oppressed, bullyed and unfairly imprisoned people around the world and the letter of writing letters.
Come with us to join the letter writing marathon, which will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 15.00 to 22.00. in Tabačka Kulturfabrik in Košice. At the event you will learn about this year's cases of letter writing marathon and you will be able to write a solidarity letter, sign a letter to the authorities or the appropriate authorities, draw a picture or make a collage to support people whose rights are violated and who are waiting for justice. Of course, creativity is not placed. We will then send these letters.
You can spend as much time at the event as you use it. If you manage to come for at least 1-2 hours, you may find that you want to stay a little longer. Anyway, we will look forward to your participation and we will write the leaves all afternoon.
Papers, creative aids and small snacks.
So don't hesitate to write a letter and change one's life.
at 20:00 you will be able to join our human rights quiz and win interesting amnesty prizes.
