►Pre whom we collect:
The civic association Union of Mutual Assistance of People and Dogs was established in 2001 in Košice thanks to enthusiastic volunteers. The aim of OZ UVP was to build a shelter for unwanted animals in Košice, organizing regular training and events for the public, canistherapy and enlightenment mainly among children and youth. Since 2015, there are about 200 dogs in our shelter, about 50 other dogs and cats are in temporary care. We provide comprehensive veterinary care, deworming, vaccination, chipping, neutery and demanding examinations and operations. As part of our possibilities, we try to help animals outside our shelter, since 2013 we have been visiting the homeless with dogs, helping with veterinary treatments, castrations and feed, while trying to help people without home clothes that help us to get volunteers.
