Marduk is a Swedish black metal band formed in 1991. The band will perform in Košice for the third time.

In Mesopotamian mythology, Marduk was the Babylonian storm god who created the earth and sky from the slain body of the great dragon Tiamat, who with his wife Abza created the first generation of gods. Marduk then killed their son Kinga and used his blood mixed with the earth to create mankind. He was worshiped as the patron saint of Babylon.

Valkyrja, one of the leading representatives of the current Swedish black metal scene, was originally founded in 2004, "with the common goal of channeling violence, deprivation and resistance through extremely loud sound emissions'; a parallel and extension of their own philosophies - boundless and limitless in their art.
