A suggestive dance story that also contains dramatic passages illustrates the life story of one of the most iconic paintings of the 20th century Frida Kahlo. Her personality is so inspiring even today that she has also stimulated the emergence of a new author's work, in which Frida stands as a personality of immense talent, creativity, life vesion, emancipation and finally her own destruction.
The story shows a woman who represents political and social peripetia of the 1st half of the 20th century. The woman that came out of the traditions of the rural Mexican environment and the art language of the authentic Mexican culture mixed with elements of realism, symbolism and surrealism. The author of the work is choreographer and director Marika Mikanová, who works at the F. X. Saldy Theater in Liberec.
