If the author was right, then my family is the most unique family in the history of families. That's how I remember her. And I often laugh about it. On my crazy grandmother Fraochlán, Queen of the Ocean and Flamengo. On my aunts Julie and Agnes, pillars of the Connemara gossip machine. Or about my mother Maja, who was left alone with the child by her husband and when he returned years later, she jumped into the lake from which she never swam again...
