About event
A voice that remains. You hear it once – and you don’t forget it. Marla Moya sings with raw warmth and clear emotionality. Their songs are honest, unpretentious and have a quiet intensity - timeless and present at the same time. Her music is reminiscent of greats like Fleetwood Mac or Harry Nilsson, as well as today's indie greats like Angel Olsen or Weyes Blood.
In 2025 she will release her debut album Sanguine Soul via Backseat, produced by Robert Francis in Los Angeles. The songs tell of upheaval, self-discovery, fear and hope - of a young woman who reinvents herself. An album full of movement: between light and shadow, between wanderlust and homecoming, between the desire to be seen and the strength to be enough for yourself. Marla Moya's songs are intimate and expansive at the same time - they open up spaces without ever losing their grounding. In the end you never know exactly: is that a laugh or a cry? Probably both. And that's exactly why she's staying.
The tour stop in the Kulturinsel Berlin with her band is part of the big release tour for the album.
