About HTIB and this performance
Hollanda Türkiyeli eration Birliği (HTIB, Turkish workers' association in the Netherlands) was founded in 1974 with the aim of promoting the emancipation and integration of migrants in the Netherlands. With a history of 50 years full of social, cultural and educational activities, HTIB has made an important contribution to the community. This year marks a special milestone: the 50th anniversary.
In the context of this celebration, we want to pay special attention to women's rights and the fight against women's murders.
In 2024, 48 women were already killed by violence. This tragic fact requires attention, reflection and action. That is why, together with other organizations of migrant women, we want to bring this theme to the attention through theater and art.
With this project, of which this solo performance is a part, we hope not only to create awareness, but also to offer a platform for dialogue and solidarity in which women and a lasting life can lead to our society. Together we build a future in which women's lives are honored and protected.
