About event
Somewhere between folk, pop and jazz lies a place called MarZ – the musical universe of singer, guitarist and songwriter Markéta Zdeňková. Her songs range from honest confessions to playful toys to shamanic rituals.
He writes mostly in Czech and has the ability to create imaginative melodies while preserving the naturalness of his mother tongue. Thanks to this, it finds an ever-growing audience across genres and generations.
The core of MarZ is, along with Markéta, the co-founder of the band, trombonist and singer Štefan Janoušek, an exceptional instrumentalist of the current young Prague (not only jazz) scene. His handwriting is strongly inscribed in band arrangements.
