We cordially invite you to a lecture by Silvie Šeborová: Art in space. In the public space, which will take place on Wednesday 2. 4. 2025 at 18:00 in the N21 room (building N, Institute of Music Muni).
The lecture takes place within the Tim Master Class at Tim FF MU in Brno.

Art in space. In the public space
the lecture will present the ways that have taken art in public space over the past 20 years with an emphasis on the context of Brno. It will focus on urban projects such as statues for Brno and Brno Art Open, but also on the activities of the artistic itself, including the display galleries and other achievements. The lecture is based on the author's personal experience and her texts for Artlak. cz and other media.
Silvie Šeborová is the theorist and critic of art and cultural manager. She founded the server ARTALK. The cz, which led by 2015, is currently working with ART+Antiques and Flash Art. She worked in the Moravian Gallery in Brno for a long time, where she was mainly dealing with the topic of art mediation, the author of the publication How to Paint the Eggs: The Story of the Painter Josef Šíma (2020), for which she received the Nomination for the Magnesia Litera Award. In addition, she worked as a curator at various exhibitions and projects in the Czech Republic and abroad, is part of the organizational team, which is being prepared by the Brno Art Week festival. She moderated a number of discussions about artistic operations, lectured externally at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Arts, Brno University of Technology. She is currently writing books on the theme of Fine Arts and Brno and acts as the main curator of the Brno Art Open festival.
