Masterclass: Hĺbkový pohľad na The Godfather s režisérom Michalom Balážom

The Masterclass will offer a detailed look at the film's narrative structure and reveal the way Francis Ford Coppola builds tension and shapes complex relationships between characters. The analysis will focus on the psychological development of the protagonists, with an emphasis on the transformation of Michael Corleone and his gradual immersion in the world of power and family inheritance. Part of the masterclass is also an analysis of symbolism, work with light and shadow, as well as the overall visual poetics that defines the cinematic aesthetics of the work. Attention will be paid to key themes - especially power, loyalty, corruption and identity - set in the context of time, environment and family hierarchy. Participants will get to know specific film techniques and scene analysis, which will clarify why the film is one of the most important classics of world cinema.

The masterclass will be held in English
