ANNOTATION OF PAPERS

Bc. Dominik Vašíček, student PdF MU
Art education and work activities in mathematics

The paper will present a differentiated teaching material focused on the subject of volume and surface of a cube and cuboid, which I have tried in practice. This material contains two motivational learning activities based on Sternberg's theory of triarchic intelligence; one activity was designed for creative intelligence
and the other for practical intelligence. One of these activities was described by the student as "artwork in mathematics". It can therefore be said that these teaching activities represent, among other things, the integration of art education and work activities with mathematics.

Mgr. Ing. Bohumila Kroupová, ZŠ Husova
The number pi and the human body

We will show how we combine mathematics, informatics and physics in the primary school curriculum. From the mathematics curriculum, we chose the number pi, which is all around us. We will present several algorithms for calculating pi that can be programmed in Scratch or Python. Another interesting area where we can apply mathematics is various measurements of the human body. We find where the golden ratio is on the human body, we determine the volume of the head or the capacity of the lungs. Everything is illustrated with simple examples so that students can get an idea of the issue.
