How to make the children more attractive to teach geometry and show them that we can discover geometry all around us, even in folk traditions? /> The answer to this question I conceived as a challenge in creating my diploma thesis. It focused on the use of pupils' knowledge of the 1st grade of elementary schools from the field of geometry in the level for the creation of folk clothing. It thus linked the curriculum of mathematics with the curriculum of work activities, art education and elements of regional folk culture. The pupils applied knowledge of basic geometric formations, practically carried out the lines, used symmetry, demonstrated spatial orientation when creating a matrix to impose a decorative pattern on the fabric and in the assembly of clothing. The result of the work of the pupils was to make folk clothing in which pupils presented themselves to the parents and the public during the school performance of the folk fairy tale. It will also include an exhibition of pupils' works.
