📢 We will notes against the removal of the board of Marshal Andrej Hadik
Matica Slovenská convens the Assembly against the Hungarian Manevi SK Ltd. Košice at the former Kisdyanum. SPUSR. We are reasonable to suspect that this procedure has been fulfilled by the factual nature of the crime of theft pursuant to Section 212 of the Criminal Code. It is the Slovak branch of the Hungarian government Foundation Közép-Európai Épített Örökség Megőrző Alapítvány. This foundation under the guise of protection of the architectural heritage is buying historic buildings in Slovakia, while the end users of the benefits include the State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The incident in Košice is proof that such activity has not only the economic but also the ideological and political context. History. We call the civil matrix protest against such a gross disrespect for the Slovak nation, its culture and the memory of prominent personalities, as well as against non -cultural practices, which repeatedly happen in relation to Slovaks in Košice, but also in southern Slovakia.
📍protest assembly will take place on the corner of Main and Elizabeth Street (Elizabeth 2) near the Cathedral of Sts. Elizabeth in Košice. Andrej Hadik, a prominent military commander of Slovak origin, was again dignified and publicly placed.
