Max Prosa
The Garden Tour 2026

“The Garden” is the name of Max Prosa’s new album and is a musical place to linger. In it, people meet angels, donkeys meet kings, the Pope meets Johnny Cash, the goddess night swallows the sun, people who wait forever miss each other and unlikely lovers meet. As a listener, you are always in the middle of it all after just a few words, because prose's essence carries something within itself that makes it universal. You sit in the great figure cabinet of your self. This time the music comes in the form of a band with strings. Max's long-time companion Magnus Bang Olsen arranged this special sound world, a mystical carpet on which voice and lyrics can work. The often underlying force of drums and bass is reminiscent of Prose's beginnings. He toured with his first band in tow with Clueso on his “In and For Himself” tour and then later on his own two feet across the country. He has never stopped doing that since then, he says himself. After a long phase of small line-ups, the band is now set to go on tour again. In addition to Magnus Bang Olsen, Leonie Geißler and Ben Anderson are also there. “I have really missed the rousing power of a band in recent years,” says Prose, and anyone who knows him knows that in addition to the “Der Garten” songs, he certainly has some old classics on board and, almost certainly, some that no one expected. The “Verschwende Dich”, which Hannah Herzsprung interpreted in a film last year, will certainly be heard. Also “Flügel”, with which Egon Werler won the TV show “The Voice Kids” in 2022. It doesn't bother him that others have even greater success with his music than he does. He would play the songs "the way they were created. Which path they take is out of my hands." After the tour in March, there will be a few selected dates with the strings in the summer to bring this aspect of the album to the stage.
