Maxïmo Park has been constantly evolving since the release of his debut album "A Certain Trigger" (2005), a multi-platinum and Mercury-nominated album . Singer and lyricist Paul Smith showed his socio-political colors, and this colorful activism continued as a narrative thread throughout the Newcastle band's subsequent albums, reaching its peak on 2017's "Risk To Exist." br/>
For Maxïmo Park, it has always been about being "aware of your own voice, empowering, sharing and communicating with people" and this has evolved into "empathy, commitment, anger, ambition, anti-cliché, maturity, reflection and big ideas" on their 7th album, "Nature Always Wins", which reached number 2 in the UK charts and was very well received by critics.
As a pop group, Maxïmo Park seeks to produce catchy, melodic and memorable songs, and is constantly influenced by a plethora of different genres. Their main goal is to make a genuine connection with their listeners, which they accomplish every time. The band tours year after year in front of thousands of fans around the world and continues to produce groundbreaking emotional music.
Their new single “Favourite Songs” is released on March 25, 2024 and is accompanied by of the announcement of a complete tour. This is the group's first new release in 18 months, and we are delighted with its jerky riffs, its shimmering synths and its catchy chorus, which propel the title towards a place of celebration and collective joy. To be discovered in concert during their stopover in Paris, at Point Éphémère, in November!
