About event
The Glasgow-based six-piece psych band led by Catalan-Egyptian musician Mariam El Sadr (Maz) has taken the Scottish music scene by storm.
Their intercultural and energetic live shows, which move between surf guitars, Krautrock noise, queer dance music and Latin American influences, have captivated audiences and given the band a promising future. MATP are a force to be reckoned with.
The band entered the Scottish live scene in February 2022, supporting touring bands, performing tirelessly in clubs and organizing parties of their own (“Phantasmagasm”). With just three single releases, the band have already sold out headlining shows in music capitals across the UK.
Psych, inspired by French indie pop, Krautrock noise, a healthy dose of vintage Americana and an explosive punk attitude.
