McKinley Dixon presents his The album “Magic, Alive!” will be released on June 6th. before. The breathless and exuberant Magic, Alive! in many ways continues the work of its predecessors: it is the story of three children who lose their best friend and struggle with the turmoil that follows. The main twist, however, is that the trio wonders what they can do to bring their friend back, or at least get back together with him, so that their friendship doesn't end in death. In fact, the core of Magic, Alive! a comprehensive look at what magic is all about. Why can't it be the guy who just gets away with something by hiding from the authorities, or the slippery way the world starts to feel after a long drag on a joint or a slow sip from a bottle? Can it simply be faith in something we cannot see, as well as faith in miracles, spells, and portals to something beyond our own experience?
Here's to Magic, Alive! says Dixon - a son of the ghost-haunted South - all of this.
