MEAU • AFAS Live

MEAU broke through at the end of 2021 with That's what you did, a song in which she sang openly and honestly about a toxic relationship she was in and what it did to her. It is that typical honesty and openness in her music that makes MEAU unique and that thousands of fans recognize themselves in. The single struck a chord; She scored an Alarm Disk, 3FM Megahit and TopSong with it and received countless messages from other young people who recognized themselves in her story. The song was also a success in the charts: it spent eight weeks in the top spot in the Top 40, scored 85 million streams on Spotify and was also a hit in Belgium. The single went triple platinum. Her debut album 22, which was released in 2023, was also a great success: it received gold status in the week of its release. The album was also awarded an Edison. Meau worked with Racoon, Pommelien Thijs and the Metropole Orchestra, among others. With Racoon she scored the hit Dance my eyes closed, with Pommelien Thijs the Flemish number 1 hit Het Midden. Piece of mine, which she wrote for a campaign against online shaming, also became a hit. In addition to these songs and other favorites from 22, MEAU also plays songs from her new album in AFAS Live, which will be released next year.
