Mediterranea - Rassismus und Psychische Erkrankung

Ayiva leaves his home country of Burkina Faso to find a better life for himself in Europe, but also to be able to better care for his daughter and sister. Together with his best friend Abas, he makes it onto a boat that will take them to Europe with many other refugees. But at some point the boat capsizes and it is only with the last of their strength that Ayiva and Abas can escape to the Italian coast. Life in Italy also begins very differently than they had imagined, but despite all the odds, after a while they begin to settle in. They survive as unskilled workers - until xenophobic riots put them in new danger.
