"To Cairo" is the third chapter of the Istanbul Midnight series of the Mediterraneo Band. In this project, the enchanting sounds of classical Arabic music, the soulful melodies of Rebetiko and the majestic tones of the Ottoman tradition are intertwined. Seven talented musicians from Syria, Turkey and Greece combine their various backgrounds to create a unique musical experience that connects cultures and transcends boundaries. With their innovative approach, they harmonize these traditional styles with Western classic instruments, creating a fresh, contemporary sound that retains the authentic essence of Makam music.
