Oto Hudec and Yana Kononova are visual artists whose work is deeply resonated with environmental, social and political topics of the present. Their artistic approaches meet in a joint effort to connect art with an engaged approach to the world. Both deal with the topics of global injustice or ecological imbalance, symbolically point to new forms of solidarity, linking ecosystems and countries. Even about how these processes open up new questions about durability, temporary and our understanding of the country as a static entity. Let's think about the country's memory and its forcibly interrupted cycles. His projects include utopian perspectives and draw inspiration from ecological procedures. Her artistic practice includes ecocritical examination, in which she approaches countries as the main actors and deals with their sensitivity. She also works as a curator in the Ján Koniar Gallery in Trnava. As a curator, she is interested in the limits of art, participatory projects and ecological topics.
