About event
🎬 Film tour of the Freedom Festival 2025
🗓 November 5-8, 2025
🎟 Admission to all screenings is free
XV. year of the Freedom Festival once again brings a film screening that explores the limits of freedom, guilt and morality in the times of dictatorships through feature films and documentaries.
This year, the Freedom Festival Film Screening also offers an international selection of films that touch on the themes of power, lack of freedom and personal courage. Through stories, they capture how attitudes towards truth, morality and freedom were formed in different historical periods.
In Kine Film Europe, we will present award-winning films from Norway, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia, from historical dramas to personal intimate documentaries. The films follow human destinies in the time of dictatorships, war conflicts and ideological oppression, but also the effort to preserve dignity, compassion and the ability to resist.
Selected screenings are followed by discussions with the creators and historians of the Institute of National Remembrance, which will offer a deeper insight into film themes and their connections with our past and present.
