We invite you to spend the International Day of Archeology on Saturday 19 October 2024 at the SNM - Archaeological Museum.
At 10:30 a.m. lecture The most interesting castle pieces in the premises of the Life in Castles and Castles exhibition. It will not be a classic lecture, but a combination of a commented tour with the screening of additional material, which will help us show the exhibited objects in interesting historical sources, present similar finds from other castles and museums, point out details and better demonstrate the uniqueness of the exhibited material.
At 15:00 a program for families with children. We will guide visitors through the Life in Castles and Castles exhibition with commentary understandable for children. Afterwards, we will move to the interactive and creative exhibition Hravo o hradoch, which is not open to ordinary visitors, but only to groups with orders. Here, the children and I will complete a small model of the castle, prepare and seal the deed, play with various models, games and activities on the theme of castles.
If the weather is good, children can play archaeologists, but also medieval knights, in the courtyard of the museum. or Roman legionnaires.
The single entrance fee for the event is €5.
The museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
