We invite you to the first autumn Meet & Greet meeting, where you will be able to personally get to know our new residential artists NYX Günther and Weronika Trojońska. The meeting is open not only for those who want to learn more about their work, but for all who want to spend a pleasant evening in the creative atmosphere of the Šopa Gallery.
📅 We start 11.9. From 18:00 in the Šopa Gallery
NYX Günther (DE) is a starting multimedia artist from Munich. It comes from IT and technology and specializes in areas such as graphics programming, code art, simulation or interactive and gaming art. Such an approach uses technologies as an artistic medium that represents the interface between personal identities and collective identities at the social level. Within his practice, he is between performance and sound installation, examining the psychoacustic of the human body - the musicality of speech, silence and laughter - how they shape social identity. He often invites others to his process, creating common spaces that question the tasks of the artist, audience and artwork. The Art Support Fund is the main partner of the project. The project was also supported by the City of Košice and the Košice Self -Governing Region. The Weronika Trojańska residence is organized thanks to cooperation with the Air Wro residential center. BackgrOUND BASED IN IT AND TECHNOLOGY SHE SPECIALIZES IN AREAS Drought As Graphics Programming, Code Art, Simulations and Interactive and Game-Art. With this Approach She Utilizes Technology As An Artistic Medium Which Presents an Interface Betheen Personal Identities and Collective Ones On A Societal Level. Working Between Performance and Sound Installation, She Explores The Psychoacastics of the Human Body - Thus Musicality of Speech, Silence, and Laughter --and Hows Shape Social Identity. SHE OFTEN INVITES OTHERS INTO HER Process, Creating Shared Spaces That Question The Roles of Artist, Audience, and Artwork.
