This time we will focus on projects that recently introduced for the first time at Maker Faire festivals and brought fresh wind to the Czech Makers scene. Not only during the discussion, but also after the program - at the bar with a glass of something good. Admission is free, just register using a short application. Neon
As a neon is a project of a Czech designer and developer that specializes in modern use of neon lighting. He shares his story at Meet the Makers - as he renovates old neon inscriptions and tubes and returns their lives through their own universal power supply. It will also bring the technical and design challenges associated with this unique medium and will tell you how traditional neon can be used in contemporary design.
Technician with digital technologies. It will share experience with the implementation of 3D printing, laser cutting, plotters or 3D scanning into teaching and showing how these tools expand the possibilities of students. It will focus primarily on the field of design of alloy objects and jewelry, where 3D printing plays an important role in modern metaling. At Meet the Makers, he will present his way from an idea to a functioning community that connects students across technical fields and brings missile engineering into practice. In addition to the construction of their own missiles, they also focus on the popularization of cosmonautics, organize the Czech Rocket Challenge competition and build facilities that have been missing in the Czech Republic. Their aim is to participate in European competitions, develop research and once - even to achieve the universe. At Meet the Makers, you will learn how the author of the project uses simple tools and procedures to learn how to create a laboratory stand, spectrometer, radio or space radiation detector at home. In his approach he meets a short walk from every craft - from blacksmithing and foundry to glassmaking to bastion of electronics.
