20 years as the front woman of the French band Nouvelle Vague and a successful career as a solo artist: Just in time for the release of her fourth album “How and Why”, Mélanie Pain announces four exclusive Germany shows!
On her fourth album, Mélanie Pain mixes pop and intimate poetry. At the same time she returns to her roots: “I wanted to reconnect with my first loves: bare folk, clear melodies, with just
guitar and voice to guide me.” Mélanie Pain wrote and produced the album herself - she received support from, among others, Brian Lopez (Calexico), with whom she can be heard on "Cold Hands". “How and Why” was recorded live and in songwriting exile: a cabin in the woods near Bordeaux. As a result, the album has an immediate intimacy.
Mélanie Pain is bringing exactly this intimacy to Germany in February 2026: With “How and Why” and her four Germany shows, Mélanie Pain is showing the entire spectrum of her artistic work.
