About event
We have 12. This time we will transform the Holešovice market into Latin America, namely 30 - 31 May 2025.
Merkado is mainly about dancing, music and Latin American markets in which 50 Latin community retailers will be presented. The cultural program in the foreground with Saturday's drum procession rhythm of samba under the guidance there there Batucada. The procession will start at 5 pm and will lead from the Štvanice footbridge of the girl to the Holešovice marketplace. On Friday, Mexican musicians Mariachi Azteca de Praga will be presented, and on Saturday they will be complemented by the Venezuelan folk performed by La Circunstance Trio. For children, Mexican piňat with sweets, children's art workshops, face painting, Spanish reading, workshops are prepared every day. The accompanying program will be offered by: playful Spanish lessons, Speed Dating in Spanish, evening salsatek with selected Latino DJs.
The marketplace itself will be presented at fifty retailers with typical products - from exotic fruit to original fabrics, jewelery, and products from “artesanos” from countries of South and Central America.
