About event
Saturday 29 November at 14:00 lecture The hated and admired wolf - Jana Šmídtová
🐺 Wolves have been surrounded by many legends, superstitions and prejudices since ancient times. Let's try to look at them without them. Find out with us how the wolf family works, get to know the wolf's senses, the way of communication, hunting tactics and the high level of intelligence of these fascinating beasts. Can they really reproduce? Are they a threat to us? At the interactive lecture, we will explain why we need them in nature and we will also touch on the problems of living with them.
🌲 Jana Šmídtová covers the field of education at the Bratislava Zoo. She graduated from the Faculty of Forestry at the Technical University in Zvolen. With rich experience, including many years of work in the Muránska Planina National Park, for almost twenty years he has tirelessly devoted himself to spreading awareness about nature protection among children, youth and adults, emphasizing respect and a responsible approach to all living creatures.
