How to talk to people with different opinions and bring them to their senses if they believe nonsense?
You probably have someone around you with whom you disagree or even believe some nonsense in the form of misinformation or conspiracy theories. You may have even tried to talk to them and convince them that they are wrong, perhaps using reasonable arguments and data. And you probably haven't done much with them.
At this meeting, we will share our experiences and insights on how to approach such conversations and try out some techniques. Whether you want to share your tips or get inspiration, join us.
The meeting will be accompanied by Lukáš Hána, who has been teaching critical thinking for over ten years and founded the Skeptik.cz project. The meeting will mainly focus on the techniques of Deep Canvassing, Motivational interviewing and others.
Monthly meetups are meetings organized by the participants themselves on topics that interest them. The goal is to share knowledge, experience and mutual inspiration. The meetings provide a platform for the exchange of ideas on topics such as rationality, science, existential risks and effective altruism.
