About event
Legend has it that the skateboard was born on a day without waves at sea, where surfers were forced to head to Terra for the asphalt of California.
Slipping through the streets, surpassing each new obstacle, skate has become a peculiar choreography. It moves on the surface of our cities, complaining about the public space in fierce maneuvers that cross borders. And keep the emotion of various dreams.
With a group of skaters and performers, Mette Ingvartsen explores the speed and energy of the movement on wheels - a physical memory of his own youth. More than a spectacle that meets the expectation of virtuous prowess, Skatepark represents the visibility of a community - defined by persistence and hard work within a continuous practice of people who try, fall and exceed the limits of the possible, alone, but also in collective. On this trip, the stage turns into a skatepark for a meeting between a group of skaters and performers and several generations. Their continued commitment to balance and jump, their noisy interaction and their clashes in a shared space, form something more, an entire community with which we can learn. href = "https://www.culturgest.pt/en/bilheteira/"> https://www.culturgest.pt/pt/bilheteira/ )
