About event
Friends, we would like to invite you to an event as part of the "Paths to Miracles" exhibition, which will be in honor of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
80 years ago, on January 27, 1945, the Nazi extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated.
Věra Roubalová Kostlánová, psychotherapist and co-founder of the Rafael Institute (https://www.rafaelinstitut.cz/) will lead a discussion with artists Ivan Bukovsky and Hana Alisa Omer (both from families of Auschwitz survivors) about their work in connection with the so-called by the syndrome of the 2nd generation after the Holocaust after the Second World War.
We have already organized exhibitions and events called "Miracles" at the Beseder Gallery three times. The first was "Miracles?!" (2023), the second was "Miracles Again!" (2024) and now, with Ivan Bukovsky, it's "Ways to Miracles".
Hana Alisa Omer: Why "Miracles" ? My mother miraculously survived the horrors of the Auschwitz extermination camp. That's why I'm here, my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. That I was born is a miracle, and my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are miracles.
Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love that inspire us, that heal the past and thus free the future. Art is basically being in the being and thus one of the most effective ways to heal neuroses and psychological deposits of ancestral traumas.
Ivan Bukovsky: My father was saved in Auschwitz, my mother in Bergen-Belsen, which in itself is a double miracle, and therefore I can be here too.
And a miracle is every meeting with a person who is in the same mood as me.
