Mezipatra: Medvědí jeskyně

The mysterious Argyro lives a peaceful life on a farm in the middle of the enchanting landscape of the Greek mountains. All she needs for happiness is a small herd of goats, dark beats in her ears and her eternally cheerful friend Anneta, the most beautiful girl in the village. But the age-old friendship is hit by unexpected news. Anneta is pregnant, she is moving away. And very soon. Can the girls cope with the separation or will they dare to face the depth of their relationship? A fresh portrait of queer adolescence successfully avoids genre clichés and brings an unexpected mix of Balkan folklore, authentic acting and hot summer romance. Also worth mentioning is the eerily atmospheric camera, which highlights the mystical beauty of the local nature. The feature-length debut of the directing duo Stergios Dinopoulos and Krysianna Papadakis premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it won the Europa Cinemas Label Award.
