Mezipatra: Queer generace – za kamerou i na plátně

The debate will bring an open conversation about contemporary queer audiovisual production, representation, the courage to speak with one's own voice, and how a new generation of filmmaking is born in our region.
What are the specifics of queer film and television production in the Czech Republic and Slovakia? What stories do they want to tell? What obstacles does the film environment pose to them? And why is it important that the queer experience has its place on the screen and behind the camera? Director and screenwriter Gregor Valentovič, series screenwriter Vendula Hlásková and Nataša Jurčová Findrová, a film producer, activist and active member of the Open Society Foundation and the Otherness Initiative in Slovakia, will discuss the debate, which we are preparing in cooperation with the OUTPITCH platform.
