About event

Address: Venice 433/2, 128 00, Prague 2. Yet in 50 years of its activities, it has released a large number of scientific satellites, observatories and probes. Many of them have headed to unexplored goals so far or brought unique data worldwide. For example, the Giotto examining probe investigating the core of Halley Comet, the Huygens landing case that sat on the surface of the Moon or the Planck, which has refined the standard cosmological model. She has also worked on many interesting and beneficial ESA missions with other space agencies from around the world. In the lecture, we will look back at the 50 -year history of our cosmic agencies, its programs and functioning and focus on selected scientific missions in more detail. We also look at what is being prepared. However, it will certainly not reach everything and it will be the author's selection. Perhaps he will choose well. Since 2009 he has been a Czech delegate on the ESA program board for piloted flights, research in microgravity and exploration of the solar system and also its Advisory Committee. For several years he has been a member of the UN Expert Working Group for long -term sustainability of space activities. Since 2013 he has also been a proud member of the European Association for Research in Low Gravity. With breaks, since 2007, he has been teaching several objects focused on cosmic technology and space environment at the Institute of Aircraft Technology. It also professionally deals with searching, analysis and possible implementation of new advanced technologies and materials in the military, especially in heavy technology, in aviation and uncontrolled cosmonautics.
