About event
One concert of two unrivaled electronic music projects is heading to the cultural center in the fall! You simply cannot miss this duo!
You can get tickets online or at Trafica U Davido. You can catch the first 60 pieces for a discounted price of 370 CZK, the next for 450 CZK, and on the day of the event you will pay 490 CZK (that is, if there are any tickets left ;).
Electropop band Midi Lidi was formed in 2006 on the ruins of the group Krásný Stěhovák Gerard & Sexuální nábytek.
Midi Lidi are known for the fact that they like and often perform concerts, they played many concerts in Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also a little in Poland, Russia, England, Germany, Spain and Croatia. Mostly with shame. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, they already belong to the regulars of major festivals.
The members of the band are widely spread among various artistic fields in their other activities and are known individually on the Czech scene as filmmakers, actors, theater actors, promoters, visual artists or graphic artists.
In 2020, the group shot the short film "Hemenex", the title song of which also became a digitally released single. In 2021, Midi Lidi released two new albums: on June 1, the fifth album became a collection called "No one will laugh at you if you like people". A day later, the record "Heal The World, finally!" was released. In November, the two-song single The Thing with a clip and a contemplative documentary video from the recording of the album "Making of Apology".
Ventolin is an electronic project of David Doubek, a founding member of the group Kazety and a member of the Nejhodnější medvídci theater, who has been active on the scene since 2007. His first release from 2009 is the EP Mžitky, in 2012 he released his debut album Totem, followed by the EP Playbour (2015) and the joint album The Game with YS ROTTYN by anonymous Polish techno duo RSS B0YS (2016). A huge breakthrough in Ventolin's career and hundreds of successful concerts even outside the borders of the Czech Republic was caused by the release of the second regular album Vitajte (2017). Four years after the release of the breakthrough album Vitajte, Ventolin released his third full-length album. Compared to his previous album, Dneska se vášilo is musically more diverse and thematically more intimate, it does not lack pop love songs, cheerful and more depressing sci-fi scenes, or situational absurdity. Ventolin uses old samplers, analog synthesizers and archaic drum machines to perform live.
He is a lover of the primitive sound of Detroit techno and Italian and Indian disco from the 80s. David Doubek lectures cultural anthropology at Charles University.
