Philipp Gerschlauer (1986) is among the most respected personalities in the milieu of microtonal music in saxophone playing in the world. His domain is jazz but also contemporary experimental music. Gerschlauer is unique and is one of the few performers specializing in playing in the 128 tone system in an octave, which he proves through numerous albums and productions.

This exceptional saxophonist has accepted our invitation and will present himself with a solo recital as part of Microskop - the microtonal music platform.

Preliminaries to the recital will be a piece dedicated to retuned amplified string instruments and reed aerophones by local composer and performer Matej Sloboda.

Part of Mikroskop VII. there will also be a lecture by Philipp Gerschlauer, where he will present his microtonal safoxone.
