About event
The powerful and nuanced tango sound of the German-Argentinian tango quartet Nochero draws on the musical richness of traditional Argentine tango. The arrangements and compositions by bandoneonist Peter Reil, originally written for Nochero, give this tango formation its distinctive and fascinating tango language. Nochero formed in Berlin in 2023 with tango musicians who have been performing on international tango stages for over 20 years. Since 2024, Nochero has been delighting audiences across Germany in concert halls, milongas and tango festivals. Nochero has been working with the wonderful Argentine tango singer Catalina Sophie Gabriel since 2024. In 2025 they recorded the CD “cantar…siempre cantar” together in Berlin.
