About event
Workshop organized by o.z. PORT is intended for high school students with previous creative experience, but also for those who are just thinking about the creative process and have no direct experience yet.
It is part of a series of workshops led by lecturers with a professional background and their goal is to create a safe environment for student communication with the professional artistic community.
The goal of the workshop is to humanly and creatively connect renowned creators with the student body of Košice secondary schools and provide the participating participants with the opportunity to learn, develop, learn about their own possibilities, abilities and talents, but also different ways of thinking.
During the workshop we will focus on the ability to transform. The ability that has lent man such power over all other creatures and has remained almost unnoticed and misunderstood until now. This ability is one of the greatest puzzles: everyone has it, everyone uses it, everyone takes it for granted, but few people realize that it is the best part of who they are.
Lecturer Anton Korenči – graduated in theater direction and dramaturgy at VŠMU in Bratislava. He cooperates with Slovak National Theatre, National Theater Košice, Slovak Radio, Bratislava Puppet Theater and Alexander Duchnovič Theatre - together he directed more than 50 theater productions. In 2017, he founded the independent platform for professional performance art AntiTeatro, whose founding and representative production based on Elias Canetti's essay entitled Masa&Moc was nominated by the Academy of Theater Creators for the Performance Award season 2018/2019. In 2020, he lectured about another project of AntiTeatra – Death of the West online at Stanford University (2020).
