Misty - The Erroll Garner Story (2024) - Melkweg Amsterdam

This evening, together with the Amsterdam music platform Steppin' Into Tomorrow, we delve into the life of jazz pianist Erroll Garner, who died in 1977. This autodidact is widely seen as a genius in the jazz world and was enormously successful with, among others, the ballad 'Misty', but at the same time lived a complex private life. This documentary shows one of the great mysteries of jazz, through the eyes of his loved ones: who was the man behind that always friendly smile?
