Exciting rhythms meet old ones Chorales and new melodies: The concert “Around the world with 3 organs and 2 saxophones” takes the audience through different cultures and styles - from early music to tangos to jazz.

The Berlin organist Volker Jaekel (organ, portative) and the saxophonist Gert Anklam (Saxophones, Sheng) create orchestral soundscapes, soulful improvisations and unusual arrangements of classical works. In addition to the large organ, two rare instruments are used: the Chinese mouth organ Sheng and the medieval Portative.

The entertaining concert is hosted by the musicians personally - lively, humorous and with many insights into the creation of their music. An evening full of energy, poetry and unexpected timbres that goes far beyond common organ clichés.
