About event
Mitbarberot is the work of the Israeli duo Michal Herman & Anat Grigorio, independent creators with many years of dance experience. In this work, both authors are performers at the same time. It is a truly liberating production full of loose, unrestrained female energy.
The name Mitbarberot can be loosely translated from Hebrew as "getting lost on the way". In the performance, he tries to surrender control, abandon ambitions, aspirations and expectations. Thanks to humor and the ability to enjoy the present moment, both dancers find new positions of themselves and support each other on a fragile, changing journey without losing lightness and perspective.
CHOREGRAPHY, PERFORMERS: Anat Grigorio, Michal Herman
LIGHTING DESIGN: Amir Castro
At Taranto Aleatorio (from the photo) choreographer and dancer La Chachi (María del Mar Suárez) and the singer Lola Dolores give a unique interpretation of taranto — the original form of flamenco from the mountain regions of Almería, where the voice was once the only instrument of music.
The show explores how to find freedom within tradition, how to connect contemporary theater with flamenco roots without losing its essence. It is an innovative and daring reinterpretation of flamenco as a living organism that develops and pulsates at its own pace; where random moments and human emotions become part of the work.
DIRECTOR, CONCEPT, PERFORMER, MUSIC ARRANGEMENT: María del Mar Suárez - La Chachi
VOCAL: Lola Dolores
LIGHTING DESIGN: Azael Ferrer
