About event
🌌 Mlhovina🌌
Prague group Mlhovina combines distinctive guitar riffs with folk motifs and 60s keyboard sounds in their songs with a mixture of psychedelic and alternative rock and blues, layering sound textures and migrating between smoothness and rawness. Nebula creates music based on the best that was created in the past. The result is songs full of intense melodies and pleasant vocals. You can listen to five of them on their debut EP Námel, and the other ten were released on vinyl this January.
The record was properly christened in the sold-out Klubovna in Dejvice this March. Špína is the first full-length album that was created during 2025 at Václav Jura's SMR Records studio. There are ten songs on the record, including the pilot single Astronaut, for which the band also released a video clip. Spína follows on from the previous EP Námel from 2024, with which Mlhovina entered the Czech alternative scene for the first time.

The title of the album reflects the themes that appear in the lyrics: relationships, everyday life, routine and how they sometimes sweep us. But the songs also show the opposite side – the moment when a person needs to switch off, escape into nature, experience something powerful or push the boundaries through drug experiments, which often function as a metaphor for the desire for a more intense and truer experience with Nebula.
Musically, Mlhovina moves between psychedelic and alternative rock. Layered guitars, hypnotic rhythms and atmospheric surfaces that balance even more traditional song forms are typical for her. The lyrics in Czech are written jointly by the lead singers Tomáš Filko and Lukáš Tejnor, which gives the album two clearly recognizable yet interconnected authorial positions. When recording the album, the band was consciously inspired by the history of rock music and chose the traditional recording process - playing together in one room. The foundations of all the tracks were created live, an approach that captures the natural interactions between the musicians and gives the record an authentic energy that is characteristic of Nebula even on stage.
