The launch of FASadE's latest architecture map 'Modern, more modern, most modern in Amersfoort'

FASadE prompts with the latest architecture map 'Modern, more modern, most modern in Amersfoort' attention to the architecture of special buildings that share that they are rooted in modernism.

The architecture map was compiled by FASadE and provided with beautiful photos, of which an architectural photographer Dirk Verwoerd was responsible for the majority. Christa Jesse from Studio Jesse provided the graphic design. The card will be launched on Thursday evening, December 12, during a festive meeting in the Rietveld Pavilion.

Architecture critic and journalist Kirsten Hannema writes for De Architect, among others. The Amersfoort architectural map is a reason for her to examine this family of buildings and, in analogy to the well-known TV series “Modern Family”, to discuss people who contributed to the buildings on the map being built in Amersfoort. One of those people is Michel Schoonderbeek. FASadE will be talking to him.

The evening will take place in the Rietveld Pavilion, a modernist building that celebrates its 65th anniversary this year. 033Fotostad has set up an exhibition about this “How much luck can a city have…” on display until January 19, 2025.

The architecture map, like the architecture maps previously made by FASadE, is available at the tourist office, the Rietveld Pavilion, Museum Flehite and via fasade.nl.

Parking is available at Q-Park Centrum Mondriaan, a 2-minute walk from the Rietveld Pavilion.
