Moderní pražské pasáže

A guided tour with architectural historian Adam Štěch will take visitors through important shopping arcades and commercial spaces, hidden mostly in the city's grand palaces built in the first three decades of the 20th century.

During the tour, various modern styles will be on display, from late Art Nouveau to Art Deco to advanced modernism. Passages have always served as important communication and trade nodes and changed the character of big city life, especially in interwar Prague. Several will be explored, which were created according to the designs of important architects, such as Bohumír Kozák, Oldřich Tyl, Pavel Janák, Josef Gočár, Eugen Rosenberg and many others.
