About event
phonk-a-delic space jazzz
Doors open: 8:00 p.m. – Concert: 9:00 p.m.
Martin Klingeberg (tp, efx voc), Christian Kögel (e-g), Beat Halberschmidt (e-b), Hans Otto (dr)
The initial spark for the first-class band was the idea of playing pieces by Thelonious Monk To be interpreted in a groove-oriented manner. This, combined with their own and other material, quickly developed into a program enriched with elements of funk, hip-hop and soul, which continues to grow. With Beat Halberschmidt, who was and is also on stage for Lychee Lassi, Marteria, Miss Platnum and numerous other projects, the band is now complete. His sound and his straightness, together with the congenial drummer Hans Otto, form the hypnotically pulsating foundation of the band. Christian Kögel, who has repeatedly attracted attention through his innovative projects and, above all, his versatility, impresses with catchy riffs and rocking solos, and above all the cosmic (sometimes electronically alienated) trumpet flies.
