About event
The "Time Bridges - Prague & Kyoto 1996-2026" project is a celebratory concert organized by the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, which will take place on May 30, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. in the B. Martinů Hall. The concert is conceived as a representative cultural event for the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the capital city of Prague and the city of Kyoto.
This is an exceptional artistic and social project, the aim of which is to honorably commemorate the long-term friendly relations between the Czech Republic and Japan, or between their historical and cultural centers - Prague and Kyoto. From 6:00 p.m., the opening of a joint exhibition of calligrapher Mari Kučera (Japanese calligraphy) and photographer Petr Borovička (photographs of the city of Kyoto) will take place in HAMU's Respirium. The opening of the exhibition will take place as an accompanying program to the concert Bridges of Time Prague – Kyoto.
