MOTHER OF is coming to Bratislava for the first time MILLIONS!

One of the most impressive bands of the current progressive metal scene will visit us from Athens, Greece. Their music is a unique fusion of post-metal, progressive techniques and cinematic atmosphere, and their concerts are deeply emotional. The band's name itself comes from the plant Bryophyllum delagoense, also known as the "Mother of Millions", characterized by its toxicity and uncontrollable reproduction - qualities that the band metaphorically refers to the dark side of nature and chaos in human society. Since their debut album "Human", released in 2014, the band has gradually made their way to the top. The critically acclaimed follow-ups "Sigma" (2017) and "Artifacts" (2019) cemented their position on the scene and brought the band comparisons with names like TOOL, LEPROUS, KATATONIA or even film composers like HANS ZIMMER. However, in 2019, the band suffered a heavy blow when their keyboardist Makis Tsamkosoglou died during a concert. They did not return to the music scene until three years later, when they came up with the deeply emotional EP "Orbit" (2022), which carries all the pain and a sincere memory of their close friend. In October 2024, the band released the highly anticipated album 'Magna Mater', which appeared in various year-end polls as one of the best progressive metal albums and captures the band at their creative peak - a record more dynamic, mature and expansive than anything released before. In its relatively short history, the band has shared stages with genre giants such as DEVIN TOWNSEND, OPETH, PAIN OF SALVATION, RIVERSIDE, LEPROUS, captivating the audience with captivating and emotionally resonant performances. After a successful European tour, the band is coming to Bratislava for the first time, ready to perform a concert you definitely don't want to miss!

The special guests of this event are Bratislava's UNDERDOSE, a sludge metal band whose music has changed over the years and several changes in the line-up developed from a wild stoner grunge base through post-metal experiments to a peculiar mixture of dense doom guitars, dark hardcore and electronics reminiscent of the atmosphere of John Carpenter's films. On their latest album "Tilt" from December 2024, UNDERDOSE present themselves in their most mature form yet. For the first time, they included synthesizers and electronic elements in their work, pushing their sound into even darker and heavier positions. The lyrics do not shy away from bleak themes such as mortality, fragility of body and soul, alienation and perseverance, all presented with an introspective and joyless sincerity that has become the band's hallmark. In short, UNDERDOSE will bring to the hold a dense atmosphere and uncompromising energy that you want to experience!
