Motivation at Work: How to Build Teams People Want to Join

A fast, practical guide to building motivation and creating teams people want to join

Want to create a team people run toward—and rediscover your own spark at work? This session is a fast, practical guide to building motivation into the day-to-day, not just the slide deck. Max Hunter (aka the Chief Joy Officer) decodes the four key drivers of motivation—his “Roots & Fruits” model—and turns them into easy, repeatable habits leaders and teams can use immediately.

Off the back of his 1M+ viewed TEDx talk, Max’s interactive, thought-provoking session mixes stories, tools, and live exercises so you leave with concrete actions to lift energy, performance, and culture—whether you lead a team of two or two hundred.

We’ll cover:

• The four drivers of motivation (“Roots & Fruits”)—what they are and how to apply them day to day

• Simple diagnostics to spot motivation blockers—and how to fix them fast

• Manager toolkits for better 1:1s, feedback, goal-setting, and recognition

• Personal reboot strategies to protect your energy and find more joy in your role

• Culture moves that scale: rituals, autonomy, and momentum (with audience Q&A)
